Mandy Archibald

Biography

Dr. Mandy Archibald is an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Manitoba and a Research Scientist at the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM). She is a nurse-researcher, interdisciplinary artist, and mixed methods methodologist working at the intersection of implementation science, arts-based research, and integrated knowledge translation in child and family health. She leads the AMPLIFY Lab, which develops creative and mixed methods approaches to integrate lived experience evidence into research, policy, and practice. At CHRIM, she co-leads the PRIME Mental Health Research Theme, supporting program delivery and methods innovation in family mental health. Dr. Archibald received her PhD from the University of Alberta (2016) supported by the Canadian Child Health Clinician Scientist Program, and was awarded the Genevieve Grey Medal in Nursing. She completed a CIHR Postdoctoral Fellowship at Flinders University, Australia (2016-2019). Nationally and internationally, her work advances methodological innovation and creative approaches to addressing complexity challenges in child and family health while building capacity through creative and integrative methodologies.
