Dr. Madigan is a clinical psychologist, Professor, and Canada Research Chair in the Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute. Her research is focused on understanding how children’s early social experiences and relationships can influence their learning and mental health trajectories. Dr. Madigan’s research program is supported by federal and international grants and she has >200 publications. She engages in extensive knowledge translation to the public, including writing >40 opinion editorials on child health and development, viewed >2M times globally. Dr. Madigan and her family (children ages 14, 12, and 6 [twins]) spend as much time as they can hiking and skiing in the Rockies.
