I am a paediatric respirologist and clinician scientist at BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH) and the University of British Columbia. I completed my medical school and grad school training at McGill University then undertook my general and subspecialty post-graduate medical training in Paediatrics and Respiratory Medicine at SickKids Hospital in Toronto. I won a Cystic Fibrosis Canada Clinical Fellowship to pursue further clinical research training in cystic fibrosis (CF) at SickKids. I trained under the mentorship of Prof Felix Ratjen in Toronto and developed research interests in novel biomarkers in pediatric lung disease. I was recruited as a clinician-scientist to BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH) in 2018 to develop a translational medicine program devoted to the development and implementation of advanced diagnostic tools in children’s lung health. My clinical focus is on the treatment of children with CF and rare lung disease and I am constantly using my clinical practice as a springboard for the development of new, impactful clinical studies to help this patient population.
