Joseph Jamnik is an Academic General Paediatrics Fellow at the Hospital for Sick Children. He completed both his PhD in Nutritional Sciences and medical degree at the University of Toronto, followed by paediatric residency training at SickKids. His research interests include child nutrition, obesity and cardiometabolic health, with a particular focus on preventive strategies and behavioural interventions. Conducted through the TARGet Kids! practice-based research network (www.targetkids.ca), his fellowship research aims to explore the impact of eating behaviours in early childhood on cardiometabolic health. Clinically, his work spans both inpatient care and ambulatory consulting paediatrics, with a special interest in supporting children with obesity and complex nutritional needs. He holds fellowship funding through the Clinician Scientist Training Program at the SickKids Research Institute.
