Dr. Kara Murias MD, PhD, FRCPC is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Clinical Neuroscience, Cumming School of Medicine and a pediatric neurologist at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. She completed her MD, MSc and PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Calgary and Pediatric Neurology residency at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. She is a physician in division of Developmental Pediatrics, and a researcher within the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute – Owerko Centre. Her research focuses on the different trajectories of cognitive development in children with neurodevelopmental or neurological disease, what underlies these differences at the biological level, and whether we can predict or alter that trajectory.
