Dr. Maria Cecilia Gonzalez Corcia is a pediatric cardiologist and pediatric electrophysiologist at CHU Sainte-Justine and Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Université de Montréal. She leads the Pediatric Electrophysiology Program and specializes in inherited arrhythmia syndromes, sudden cardiac death prevention, catheter ablation, and cardiac implantable electronic devices in children and patients with congenital heart disease. Her research focuses on improving risk stratification and precision medicine for pediatric inherited cardiac diseases through international collaborative registries, genomics, and artificial intelligence. She leads the International Pediatric Brugada Syndrome Registry, bringing together investigators from more than 50 centers worldwide to advance understanding of this rare condition.
