Dr. Meghan Maiani is an occupational therapist, neuroscientist, and Assistant Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Science at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Maiani’s multidisciplinary research integrates neuroimaging and functional assessment to explore how structural differences in the visual system relate to functional vision and daily life participation in children with early-life stroke and brain injury. She works closely with patient partners, community organizations and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to translate these findings into clinical practice. Through this work, she aims to inform best-practice guidelines for assessment and intervention of cerebral visual impairment (brain-based visual impairments) for children with neurological injuries. Dr. Maiani is honoured to participate in the ENRICH program to connect with other like-minded researchers.
