Biography

Dr. Michelle Stoopler is a Core Paediatrics resident at the Hospital for Sick Children, affiliated with the University of Toronto. She is originally from Montreal, Quebec where she completed her undergraduate medical studies at McGill University, graduating on the Dean’s Honour List. During her time at McGill, Michelle focused her research on Pediatric Pain Medicine and Neonatology, while also finding time to explore her interest in Medical Education. Currently, Michelle’s research now focuses on neurodevelopmental outcomes for infants who have been admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Michelle is especially excited to join the PILLAR program to support her research interests and career aspirations in Neonatology, with the goal of becoming a clinician-scientist. In her spare time, you can find Michelle teaching dance classes, exploring new restaurants in Toronto, and spending time with her family and friends.
