Sabine Laguë (BSc (Honours), PhD, MD, FRCPC) is a UBC Pediatric Respirology Fellow at BC Children’s Hospital and postdoctoral fellow in pediatric pulmonary hypertension through UBC’s Clinician Investigator Program. Dr. Laguë is interested in addressing clinical and research knowledge gaps in the interplay between the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Her postdoctoral research uses active living to improve heart and lung health and quality of life for children and adolescents with pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Laguë is a past Killam Laureate and Vanier Scholar with a PhD in Comparative Cardiorespiratory Physiology (UBC) characterizing heart and lung function of high-altitude birds. Her MD (UBC) and pediatrics residency (UBC) involved research in pediatric pulmonary vascular disease, heart transplant, and pulmonary sequelae of congenital heart disease. She publishes and peer reviews in pediatric respirology, pulmonary vascular disease, and comparative physiology. Dr. Laguë is also a passionate medical educator with undertakings in curriculum development and simulation.
