Biography

After completing master’s degrees in data management and software engineering in Senegal and in bioinformatics at the Université de Montréal, Serigne developed expertise at the intersection of computer science and biology to address real-world problems. He gained valuable experience as a bioinformatician at the CHU Sainte-Justine Research Center (CRCHUSJ), where he contributed to genomic data analysis. He later worked as a research coordinator at the Université de Sherbrooke, further strengthening his skills in scientific project management and interdisciplinary collaboration. He is currently a PhD student in bioinformatics at the Université de Montréal and is affiliated with the CRCHUSJ. His research focuses on allele-specific methylation in the context of pediatric cancers.
