Biography

Dr. Kyleigh Schraeder (Ph.D., R.Psych.) is a clinical psychologist and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Calgary in the Department of Pediatrics. Her program of research is focused on finding solutions to system-level issues related to children’s health and mental health. For her postdoctoral project, she is using linked administrative data to understand how adolescents and young adults (AYA) affected by chronic conditions use health services over time. She is also leading a qualitative project to explore barriers and facilitators to engaging primary health care providers for AYA with complex needs. This work will help to inform system planning and health policy. Kyleigh completed her MSc/PhD in the Clinical Psychology program at Western University in London (Ontario) and her residency in Clinical Child and Pediatric Psychology at Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary. Her fellowship is funded by the Canadian Child Health Clinician Scientist Program (CCHCSP) and Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute (ACHRI).
