Dr. Mandy Archibald is a nurse-researcher, interdisciplinary artist and research methodologist working at the interface of technology, arts, integrated knowledge translation and transdisciplinary mixed methods research. She is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing, University of Manitoba and Research Scientist with the Child Health Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM). Dr. Archibald received her PhD from the University of Alberta (2016) with doctoral support from the Canadian Child Health Clinician Scientist program, and received the prestigious Genevieve Grey Medal in nursing upon graduation. She completed a 3-year Canadian Institutes of Health Research Post Doctoral Fellowship (2016-2019) at Flinders University, South Australia, where she co-led the knowledge translation platform for a transdisciplinary centre of research excellence. She is interested in how diverse knowledge systems interact within research teams, between methodologies, and within chronic illness contexts, and works closely with families and other stakeholders to strengthen the understanding and application of lived experience evidence into healthcare and health services using creative methods.
