Argerie Tsimicalis, RN, PhD, is an Associate Professor at McGill University and Nurse Scientist at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Canada. Dr. Tsimicalis is the recipient of a Junior 1 Research Scholar Award from the Quebec Research Funds- Health. This awards allows Dr. Tsimicalis to spend most of her time using creative ways to conduct research with children in Canada and around the world. Dr. Tsimicalis supervises students from different departments, schools and disciplines with varying life experiences and hidden talents. Together, they create novel health services, programs and resources including songs, theatre and books, to optimize the health and well-being of children with chronic conditions and their families. Dr. Tsimicalis lives in Montreal with her husband Tasso, and three children: Thanos, Kleio and Leandros. They enjoy skiing in the trees, having picnics in the park, and lighting fireworks for all to enjoy with family and friends.
