Anne-Marie Hourigan resides in Toronto. She has retired from 30 years working in the criminal justice sector in Ontario as a criminal defence counsel, prosecutor and a Judge of the Ontario Court Justice. In her many roles , Anne-Marie was motivated to help people who found themselves in the criminal justice system, whether they were accused persons, victims, family, or community members. This interest led to retiring early as a Judge so she could more directly assist others struggling with mental health and substance misuse issues, particularly, youth. Anne-Marie serves on boards of national and provincial health organizations. Currently, she is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Commission of Canada, the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Stepped Care Solutions and a Board Director for both the Canadian Mental Health Association (Ontario) and Pallium Canada. Anne-Marie also acts an Advisor for Tad Health. She has extensive experience mentoring in the mental health and criminal justice sectors.
