Biography

Dr. Hallie Coltin is a pediatric neuro-oncologist at the CHU Sainte-Justine and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Montreal. She completed her pediatric hematology-oncology training at the Montreal Children’s Hospital and CHEO, an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology through the Clinician Investigator Program at the University of Ottawa, and a pediatric neuro-oncology fellowship at SickKids. Her research fellowship work, funded by the Garron Family Cancer Centre at SickKids and the Charles-Bruneau Foundation, examined the burden of late effects among survivors of pediatric medulloblastoma and ependymoma in Ontario. Her current research focuses on understanding and improving the long-term medical and functional outcomes of pediatric central nervous system tumour survivors and their family members. Specifically, she leverages population-based health administrative data to study the burden and predictors of adverse outcomes such as hearing loss, stroke, disability, mental health, and early mortality. In 2022, she was awarded an early career investigator grant from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Montreal. She is thrilled to join ENRICH as a SOAR trainee.
