Biography

Ipsita Goswami is a Staff Neonatologist and Assistant Professor at the Department of Pediatrics, McMaster University since 2020. She completed her Pediatric Residency in India followed by the Neonatal Perinatal Medicine Fellowship at University of Calgary. She also completed a MSc in Basic Neuroscience from University of Calgary followed by the Neonatal Neurology fellowship from The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto. Her research interest lies in the area of perinatal brain injury and early brain development. Her current research focuses on physiological biomarkers of functional brain connectivity in collaboration with Biomedical Engineering. Dr Goswami’s passion for quality improvement in neonatal brain care and family integration has led to several ongoing educational and knowledge translational projects with the division of Neonatology, McMaster Children’s Hospital.
