Biography

Dr. Michelle Bauer is a post-doctoral fellow conducting research in the BC Injury Research and Prevention Unit. Her work commonly focuses on understanding child and parent perspectives on children’s safety, injury, and play outdoors and she works primarily with populations experiencing diverse forms of marginalization. Her work is informed through population-based health interventions and she is trained in interdisciplinary health sciences. It is her hope to continue to work with often excluded communities within health services and family settings and to learn more about child safety policy development. Outside of work, she can be found hiking, writing, and spending time with friends and family.
