My research is focused on supporting optimal psychosocial health for children with cancer and their families–including through patient- and family-oriented research models and digital health interventions. I am a Certified Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse by training and completed my PhD under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Stinson at the University of Toronto and Hospital for Sick Children. I chose to work in oncology at because as student nurse at SickKids many years ago I had a clinical placement in the division and was immediately inspired by the strength and resilience of so many children, teens and their families in the face of cancer. I knew then I wanted to work in this area in an effort to continue to support children and families in all of their different cancer trajectories. Outside of work, I can usually be found spending time with my family, including gardening (a big passion of mine) or baking with my children, or exercising where I can.
