Born in Vancouver, BC, I was raised with a love for nature, physical activity, and my community. In my youth, I was a competitive dancer and later became a certified Fletcher Pilates instructor. Currently, I am a third year Queen’s University student pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) with a specialization in Kinesiology and a Certificate in Disability and Physical Activity. My interest in healthcare stems from my own journey contending with chronic pain from a young age. As a youth partner with the Canadian Collaborative for Childhood Cannabinoid Therapeutics, I have supported the inclusion of youth voices in clinical trial development in hopes of benefiting medical research and treatment. The support I have received from Canadian healthcare has motivated me to help the system pivot to integrate patient voices more deeply, particularly in pediatrics and chronic disease management to shape the trajectory of their own care.
